Save the date!!! You don't want to miss this - our dear friend and film maker, Leah Warshawski, and her husband and co-producer, Todd Soliday, will be at Clementines during First Thursday Art Walk on June 2nd. They'll be showing clips of their new film, Big Sonia, and we'd love to help them raise some of the money needed to complete it.
Even if we didn't love Leah and Todd, ( and we do!) we'd love Big Sonia - Leah's grandmother - feisty entrepreneur, fashion devotee, lover of life, and Holocaust survivor. Looking for a role model? Look no further! Big Sonia's wisdom and joie d'vivre is sure to inspire. She had us when she said, “A woman can never have too many pairs of shoes.”
Another way you can support this project - go to a screening of the work-in-progress, Big Sonia, at SIFF on June 3rd and 4th. If you come to Clementines for Art Walk, you might even win a couple of free tickets. Big Sonia swag will abound and will be raffled off to anyone wearing leopard print - a Big Sonia favorite. Other prizes include Quay sunnies, (leopard print of course) Clementines gift certificates, and coupons to several of our fave local spots including The Estates Wine Room, Good Bar, and The London Plane. 10% of our sales during Art Walk will be donated to support and promote the documentary, Big Sonia!
