The Costume Crunch, Part One
October is here, and you know what that means — time for new sweaters, everything pumpkin spice, and struggling to put together a costume in time for the big day. It’s a busy month, as the holiday season sputters to life fast on the heels of going back to school. If the tricks get to be too much for you, treat yourself to a pair of Clementines shoes — many of our styles look just as good making the neighborhood rounds on Halloween night as they do any other day of the year! We’ll be highlighting some of our favorite new arrivals that will make your costume crunch a little easier.
ELEVEN from NETFLIX'S STRANGER THINGS
Channel everybody’s favorite telepathic middle schooler by pairing the Melissa Be sneaker with a frilly pink dress, blue Harrington-style sweater, and tube socks. A platinum blonde wig and fake blood will kick it up a little, but if you really want to take your costume to the next level, shave your head entirely and bring along a box of Eggos. The Melissa Be is super comfortable to ensure you can trick-or-treat into all hours of the night, and the 100% recycled plastic material prevents any Demigorgon goo from ruining your new kicks.
MISS SCARLETT from CLUE
It’s no mystery — you’ll look amazing in the Coclico Luyo Mule as Miss Scarlett, from the classic board game Clue. The character has been portrayed a myriad of ways across games and film, so the possibilities are really endless. A red dress and costume jewelry make this a simple look that can easily translate to any post-Halloween parties. Add a spare candlestick or lead pipe to complete the ensemble, as long as no one asks you where you hid the body…
Still haven't found the perfect costume yet? We'll be posting two new costume ideas every week until Halloween, so keep checking back! In the meantime, leave a comment — which Clementines classic are you looking forward to incorporating into your Halloween wardrobe?
