To get from Clementines from my home in Seattle's northeast Magnolia neighborhood, I jump right on the 33 bus line that stops right outside my house. On a good day, it's about a 30 minute ride; on a worse one, sometimes up to an hour. On a casual work day I've got a laptop, my planner, a notebook, a water bottle, my wallet, keys, and sunglasses; on a busy one I'll sometimes even add an extra change of clothes or shoes, maybe even the entirety of my hairstyling products. Some days take me from work to rehearsal or dinner with a friend - trips that require another bus transfer or a traipse onto the light rail.
Seattle hasn't quite caught up to other cities in terms of public transportation, so going anywhere in the city without a car usually requires a long walk - and what's more annoying than walking a long distance while carrying all sorts of baggage?
